How We Collect Personal Data When You Visit Our Website
- Cookies
A cookie is a small text file or other persistent file that websites save on your computer or mobile device each time you visit. This allows the site to remember your actions and preferences (login, language, font size, and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to re-enter them each time you return to the site or navigate between pages. We may also use cookies to know which sites you have visited immediately before or after visiting our Site.
We use cookies to save your settings for your country and language as well as to identify your user sessions and permanent identifiers. Thanks to this cookie, you will be recognized the next time you visit the same site, and you will not have to enter all your details again, if applicable. In short, cookies personalize your web experience.
- Other Tracking Technologies
Third-party cookies are installed by third parties to collect certain information for various research on behavior, demographics, etc. These applications help business and website owners analyze traffic on their websites and applications but also provide information from other websites linked to these applications. In doing so, we are even better able to understand the interests of our visitors so that we can provide you with better information when you visit our Site.
Our website sets the following types of tracking on your computer:
- New Relic
The New Relic digital intelligence platform allows developers and technical teams to measure and monitor the performance of their applications and infrastructure. It tracks error logs, external service measurements, and other technical information such as usage statistics on Page views, Browsers, and Geography.
New Relic is part of the DXC service. Similar to SendGrid (Transactional Email-as-a-service), CloudFlare (Cache and Firewall-as-a-service). More information can be found at: https://newrelic.com/termsandconditions/privacy
- Google Analytics
A Google Analytics tracking code linked to our website helps us analyze traffic to better understand how visitors use our website.
- Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is used to track pages visited by an IP address and the time spent on the page. It is also used to track activities performed by the IP address, such as videos played, forms submitted, and site navigation. All data is anonymized before being sent to Google Analytics, which reports the data tracked by Google Tag Manager.
- Google Search Console
Google Search Console is used to monitor site performance and send information about search queries to Google Analytics.
All data is aggregated, and none of the data tracked by Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console or reported in Google Analytics is linked to actual users but only to the IP address.
More information can be found at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en
- Pardot Tracking Script:
A Pardot tracking script is added to our website that tracks the IP addresses of visitors to identify pages viewed and time spent on said page. The tracked data is only the IP address unless you proactively identify yourself via a Pardot contact form in which explicit consent must be actively checked. Only when consent has been given and personal data has been provided to you will we see your email address and other personal information provided by you. This information is stored via the third-party provider Pardot. The purpose of our use of Pardot tracking is to be able to provide visitors with particularly relevant information to them in cases where they have given their consent to this use.
More information can be found at: https://www.salesforce.com/company/privacy/
- Facebook Pixel Code:
The Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising by understanding the actions of visitors on our site. We use pixel data to:
- Ensure our ads are shown to the right people
- Create an advertising audience
- Unlock additional advertising tools on Facebook
- When a person visits our website and takes action (such as making a purchase), the Facebook pixel is triggered and reports this action. In this way, we will be able to reach this person through future Facebook advertising.
- DoubleClick Floodlight Tag:
Floodlight is a system used by DoubleClick Search (DS) and DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM) to track and report on conversions from social networks. A Floodlight tag is an iframe or image installed on a conversion page on our website. When a customer clicks on the campaign in social networks and lands on the conversion page, the tag sends conversion data to DS and DCM. Conversion data is stored in the Floodlight activity, where we can obtain reports on the effectiveness of different campaigns based on the number of conversions.
